No School, Friday, April 11
Friday, 4/11, is a no school day for all Bethel students, grades K-12. Staff will be working on Family Outreach (grades K-5) and progress reports (Grades 6-12). We are halfway through our last semester of the school year and will be continuing our parent-to-school communication.

Registration for the 2025-26 School Year
Bethel asks families to review registration information for the coming school year for each child in their family. This year, we started the process a little earlier than in the past as a way to gather better enrollment information. This will allow us to plan for staffing for next year.
We have many families who have not yet completed the registration for the 25-26 school year and we would love to have you complete it right away.
You should have received an email with a link to the registration site and a snap code that you will need to register your child. Reminders to those who haven't completed the registration process are going out again this week.
If you have questions or need assistance with registration, please call our office (541-688-8735) and Tami and/or Krisia will be happy to help.

Oregon State Assessments for Students (OSAS Testing), Grades 3-5
Students in grades 3-5 will begin state testing at the end of the month in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, and Science (5th grade only).
Each classroom will be assigned to a week starting April 28th and use time that week to complete the assessments. OSAS Assessments provide information on how students compare to other students in Oregon as well as students in other US States. OSAS assessments do not impact report card scores for students.

Here's how you can help your child when it is their week to complete the OSAS Assessments:

  • Ensure that your child arrives on time to school
  • Ensure that students have breakfast in the morning and lunch midday
  • Be sure they get plenty of sleep each night
  • Remind students that the assessments provide adults information and do not impact their school report cards or their ability to complete the school year
We will provide snacks for students during their testing weeks and will ensure that they have break time between each assessment.

If you have questions about OSAS for grades 3-5, please reach out to your child's teacher.
